Video Resources

We have a YouTube Channel. These are some of the more instructional Playlists. There are other videos that have an interesting, entertaining or just plain funny take on Jitsu, MMA and other martial arts.

Bookshelf

Many people ask for books that will help them get to grips with Jitsu. As TJF is linked to Kodokan Judo, there are many to choose from. These are titles recommended by various Sensei from London and beyond:

Jiu Jitsu for All by David Walker:
These are written by Sensei Walker, Tertiary Fellow and former Director of the Jitsu Foundation. As they are his interpretation of Jitsu, they are not a direct transcription of the syllabus, but these are far and away the best reference for TJF Jitsuka. The volumes are Novice-Green, Purple-Dark Blue and Brown-Black. There is also "Jiu-Jitsu for Beginners", but much of this material is expanded on in the other books.

Judo Masterclass Series:
The Masterclass series is a set of in-depth explorations of specific aspects of Judo. Of particular interest to us are Osaekomi (holds), Shimewaza (strangles), Armlocks and some of our staple throws.
